Overview

The Sales Marketing Manager position is to act as a liaison between marketing and operations to improve merchandise sales and gross margin. The key areas of focus are store level execution of marketing initiatives, marketing projects, grand openings, vendor relations, and driving sales initiatives within defined group of stores.

 

*Must be based in El Paso or Albuquerque NM area

 

Salary: $65-69K

Responsibilities

  • Drive store sales through marketing initiatives within defined group of stores.
  • Ensures sales and marketing initiatives are executed within defined stores by working and communicating with the District Manager, Store Manager and Store Teams. Coach and assist the same group around best in class execution of promotional programs, loyalty, proper ordering, and sales driving initiatives.
  • Work with Store Managers in coaching to proper stock rotation, organizing backrooms, process for stocking shelves and coolers
  • Act as a marketing resource for the Operations team within the defined group of stores.  Create and foster a strong partnership with operations team through collaboration and transparent communications.
  • Build relationships with vendors. Work closely with vendors on program and promotional execution.
  • Coach and assist store teams on proper sign execution and display building.
  • Assists with remodel and acquisition transitions after closing.
  • Ensuring through the store team that proper food and safety requirements are being met with in defined group of stores.
  • Teaches Serv-Safe classes. Ensures Serv-Safe certificates stay current for employees within defined group of stores.
  • In partnership with the District Manager review weekly deli audits and assist in problem solving any material discrepancies.
  • Execute build to techniques for food categories and ensuring that appropriate food and safety requirements are consistently met.
  • Participates in local franchise meetings as needed. Provides support as needed to the franchise locations as needed.  Builds and maintains positive working relationships with local franchise consultants.
  • Supports execution around key Marketing initiatives
  • Provide support as needed around training for food and beverage equipment
  • Provide competitive survey and market information.
  • Communicates and Collaborates with the Director of Sales Marketing in driving companywide initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Marketing, Operations and Multi-store supervisory experience a plus
  • Serv Safe certified instructor and proctor (can occur after in position)
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Access to car or other motorized vehicle and liability insurance on such vehicle
  • Detail oriented with good problem-solving skills and ability to multitask
  • Frequent localized and limited overnight travel as needed
  • Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
